Saturday 9 September 2017 11am-1pm at Badlands Studio - 2716 San Pedro NE September is the new New Year! Great time to recommit to your Home Yoga Practice (HYP)! This workshop comes with a 55 page download of the Home Yoga Practice Journalling Workbook, to help you establish your motivation, create a habit and give you tools you can use to sequence countless practices.
Practicing yoga with the seasons just makes sense. As the days grow shorter and cooler with more darkness, you'll want to support yourself by changing up your HYP. Fall is a "vata" season because of its transitional nature. Vata pacifying practices are indicated: think Nadi Shodhana, squat variations, pigeon variations and forward folds, both seated and standing.
To bolster immunity and support your healthy immune response, we'll include more twists, with an emphasis on stable hip positions. Light pressure on the forehead can have a calming effect and your relaxation response supports your immune system. You can accomplish this easily in child's pose and down dog with a block - two-fers, forward folds + immune support.
